The Childhood in War Project

at the Munich University

The project examines the long-term mastering and the traces of the childhood under the influence of the 2nd World War after 60 years. It has in 2003 been started in Germany and intends to be extended to other European countries if we find cooperators.

It is aimed at people who have been born in the years 1933 to 1945. In an anonymous questionnaire they document their memories and evaluation of their war childhood, their later experiences and today's assessment of their life.

Though there is so long no formal cooperation with study groups outside Germany installed, participatants from all European countries are welcome!
